under cabinet jar openerAug 26, 2009
By E. Graf
Very unhappy with this product. We had a different style under cabinet jar opener in our last house and it worked super great. I looked forward to receiving this one to replace it. It is very hard to get the jar covers lined up for opening. There is no gripe for the lid to grab onto, therefore when I turn the jar it just slides around and around and never opens. I end up calling for my husband to come and open the jar. This product is useless and I intend to throw it out. Please, no one else buy this item. You'll be disappointed and just waste your money!

Okay productDec 07, 2010
This opener doesn't work as good as I thought it would. It doesn't grasp the jar very well. The teeth that hold the jar are kind of flimsy.

Works very well. Just getting use to which way to turn, but think I have it figured out. Helps with those tight lids.

Very Unhappy with this ProductMay 28, 2013
I am so disappointed . My husband had to do a lot of work to attach this to the underside of our kitchen cabinet so I could manage to get at it easily, only to find out that it will not open anything I have tried since. The one I had formerly which was on the back side of the undercabinet can opener was perfect. The new can opener did not feature a jar opener so we purchased this and located it beside the new opener. It does not seem that any jar or bottle is "grabbed" tightly by the serrated teeth of the opener .
When one tries to turn the jar so the teeth grab the lid firmly, the jar simply glides around . the teeth of the jar opener only scrape the top edge of the lid but never "grab it".
So there it sits useless.

does not work wellJan 19, 2013

it does not grip well because it only has "teeth" on one side. it means having to put a lot of pressure on a jar to get it open. for older people, this is not practical. I have another one that I have had for several years with teeth on both sides and it is very simple to use.
